Getting in

  • Undergraduate admission
    • Jesus College takes around 11 students a year, there are 260 in total
    • The course is 6 years long
    • Across all colleges, only 22 international fee paying students are accepted
    • 6ish applications for each place
  • Graduate admission
    • The course is 4 years long
    • Only available at C colleges (Hughes, Lucy and Wolfson)
    • 21 spots, and roughly 16 applications per spot
    • You can apply to come in as an undergrad as well

Options once you're in

  • Degrees available
    • The MB/PhD programme, targeted at future academics, allows you to gain a PhD, MB, and BChir in 6 years
    • All students recieve both an MB, and a BA
    • The top 50% can do clinical training here, earning an MB and a BChir
    • Rest transfer to Oxford or London for clinical (two usually sought after locations!)
    • In the third year you have to option of reading additional papers (i.e. English, Music, Microbiology, etc)

Medical degrees in the UK

  • MB BChir
    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Cambridge
    • All cambridge students also recieve a Bachelor of Arts (BA), and after three years, a Master of Arts (MA)
    • Students that do clinical in London or Oxford usually take the medical degree from their new university
  • BM BCh
    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Oxford
